The “Maine + Jewish: Two Centuriesexhibition closes to the public on Saturday, October 26. This vibrant, comprehensive exhibition is definitely worth a first visit or a re-visit, so take advantage of this last chance to see it.

When the “Maine + Jewish” exhibition closes, the gallery will be upgraded and prepared for its next major exhibit, “Maine Quilts: 250 Years of Comfort and Community,” set to open in July 2020.

In “Maine + Jewish: Two Centuries,” one of the many artifacts showing the strong presence of Jewish-owned businesses in Maine is this ca.1910 sign advertising Joseph Solovich’s store on Front Street in Bath.
