Join the Maine State Museum for a series of free public programs in summer 2022. Fun for all ages, all are welcome! 

Virtual Programs

What it is: Museum educators lead 45-minute virtual programs on a series of topics that blend history, science, and fun (optional) interactive activities!

How to register: Click the link next to the date you wish to join and fill out the registration form.

How to join: Once you register, you will get a link to the program in your email. On the day of the program, just click the link to join. You will need access to Zoom on your device.

Capitol Park Tours

What it is: Museum educators lead 40-minute tours of Capitol Park on the scenic grounds of Maine’s state capitol. This outdoor tour includes interesting tidbits on State House history and the many uses of the park over the years, from tennis courts to a proposed zoo! There will be walking on grass and dirt paths, uneven but flat terrain. Wheelchair accessible.

Walk-ins welcome, no registration required. Rain or shine!

Where to meet: Look for museum staff in the park across the street from 19 Union Street, Augusta

Where to park: Free parking is available on-street or in the Kennebec River Trail lot.
