Amy E. Waterman has joined the staff of the Friends of the Maine State Museum as director of membership and development. A resident of Brunswick, Maine, Amy most recently served as the guest curator for the exhibition “Maine + Jewish: Two Centuries,” currently on view at the Maine State Museum.
From 1992 – 2007, Amy worked as executive director of the Eldridge Street Project, the cultural organization responsible for restoring the historic Eldridge Street Synagogue in New York City.
In Maine, she has served in a number of non-profit board and consulting positions including Five River Arts Alliance, Brunswick Outdoor Arts Festival, and Longfellow Days. Amy also works as senior manager of communications for the Council of American Jewish Museums.
Amy will be working in the Friends office, along with development assistant Margi Hayes, from Tuesday – Thursday each week. Welcome, Amy!
