Celebrating Maine’s Working People

The Maine Labor Mural, initially created to hang in the Augusta offices of the Maine Department of Labor, was formally transferred to the Maine State Museum in 2019.

The Maine Labor Mural has been temporarily removed from display during the current extensive renovations in the Maine State Museum. When the museum reopens, the Maine Labor Mural will again be on view. In the meantime, click here to discover more about the mural’s subjects and themes.
